APLIKASI REVPAR DALAM DUNIA PERHOTELAN

Abstract
 
Terdapat sejumlah pendekatan dalam yield management. Seringkali tiap pendekatan tersebut dibuat model untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dari masing-masing perusahaan. Kajian ini tidak dimaksudkan sebagai acuan lengkap mengenai yield management, melainkan menyajikan sejumlah elemen umum dan asumsi dasar yang digunakan dalam yield management. Tujuh formula dalam yield management telah diaplikasikan pada sebuah hotel and apartement yang berlokasi di selatan Jakarta. Ketujuhnya merupakan formula sederhana untuk mengetahui sejauh mana hotel ini telah memeberlakukan ketujuh formula tersebut dalam satu tahun, juga memberikan informasi mengenai kinerja hotel. Ketujuh formula dalam yield management adalah:  potential average single rate, potential average double rate, multiply occupancy percentage, rate spread, potential average rate, room rate achievement factor, and yield (including RPAR or REVPAR , Revenue for Available Room).

Abstract
 
Seren Tahun is a cultural event within Halimun mountain area, held by unique community named Kasepuhan Banten Kidul, one of more than 20 communities in Banten area.  The research focuses upon a number of investigation aspects: Tourist appreciation towards “Seren Taun“ as a cultural event within Halimun mountain area and the relationship between tourist appreciation and Seren Taun altogether with its ecotourism  factors, demographic factor and socioeconomic impact. Population demographics, sosiographics and psychographics characteristics were measured by distribution of questionnaires to 620 respondents. Data gathered then brought together with secondary data, then analysed using correlation method and t-distribution system; Finally, the result then interpreted and concluded. Briefly, the investigation has come to several findings: (1) Tourists appreciation towards “Seren Taun” was exceptional. (2) Ecotourism  attraction factors has significant correlation with tourist impression towards Festival Seren Taun; (3) Respondents demographics and psychographics characteristics have real influence towards their expectation to the attraction; and (4) Seren Taun Seremony has given real benefits to residents.

EKOWISATA INDONESIA BERBASIS KELAUTAN (PELUANG DAN TANTANGAN)

Abstract
 
Ecotourism as a support for biodiversity conservation. It is often viewed as an effective means for promoting the conservation of en-dangered species and habitats in developing countries. Indonesia is well known for its wildlife, cultural diversity and scenic beauty with only a glimmer of its marine animals and eco-systems. Marine tourism and recreation are generally considered to be “clean indus-tries”. The activities are the major income earner within the indus-tries that use estuaries, coast and oceans. This includes recrea-tional fishing, non-exploitative activities form, as a substantial part of this industry. Tourism businesses that offer snorkelling and scuba-diving activities rely essentially on healthy ecosystems in order to allow the visitors in enjoying the beauty of a large variety of fish and other marine fauna and flora.

Abstract
 
Develops and implements a method for hotels to identify attributes that will increase customer loyalty. Other hotels can replicate the methodology used in this study. The study makes the uses of the hotel’s database to draw samples for both focus groups and a mail survey. Based on 564 completed surveys from hotel guests, the authors found the relationshi p between customer satisfactio n and customer loyalty was non-linear. The authors use the data to develop internal benchmarks for the hotel based on scores that were representativ e of loyal customers . The study makes use of the hotel’s database to draw samples for both focus groups and a mail survey.

Abstract
 
The paper uses a quality management framework to analyze qual-ity management approaches that have been implemented in insti-tution of higher education in the USA. The framework is comprise of three parameters, which are quality of design (QD), quality of  conformance (QC) and quality of performance (QP). It turned out that only one the nine articles that were examined dealt explicitly with quality of performance issues.

Abstract
 
Transportation business has a strategic and important role for national use. The decree issued on trariff of transport has forced some airlines to sell low fare air tickets, and this attracts lower to middle class society to travel by air rather than by sea or land. A “price of war” on air tickets offered by some airlines has made the land and sea transportation industry suffer due to lock of passengers, as more passengers prefer to use air transportation.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF ECOTOURISM IN INDONESIA:
SEVERAL CONSIDERATIONS

Abstract
 
Ecotourism atau ekowisata merupakan suatu istilah yang makin akrab digunakan akhir-akhir ini, khususnya dalam lingkup kepariwisataan. Kegiatan ekowisata, yang relatif masih belum dikenal secara meluas di kalangan masyarakat Indonesia ini berawal dari tumbuh dan berkembangnya kesadaran orang-orang untuk mengunjungi tempat-tempat yang relatif masih ‘asli’ dengan cara-cara yang lebih ‘hijau’ dan sesedikit mungkin menimbulkan dampak terhadap lingkungan yang dikunjunginya. Oleh karena itu, dalam suatu program ekowisata, keseimbangan antara kepentingan-kepentingan ekonomi, lingkungan dan kemasyarakatan, sangatlah signifikan sifatnya. Guna meraih pembangunan ekowisata berkelanjutan, sejumlah pendekatan perlu dilakukan, khususnya tentang pengelolaan daerah tujuan wisata, pengunjungnya, dampak yang ditimbulkan mereka serta daya dukung area tersebut. Ketersediaan informasi serta proses ‘pembelajaran’ bagi para turis merupakan elemen penting guna membantu turis lebih mampu mengapresiasi nilai dan kearifan tradisional yang dialaminya selama ia berwisata. Selain dari itu, tidak kalah pentingnya adalah perlunya kerjasama dan keterpaduan menyeluruh dari sejumlah stakeholder kepariwisataan, khususnya pemerintah, dunia industri, dan lainnya. Konsultasi dan partisipasi aktif masyarakat lokal merupakan suatu hal yang tidak dapat disangkal lagi signifikansinya dalam langkah perencanaan yang careful’ guna mencapai praktek ekowisata yang baik di masa depan.
